
The Jail Industries Board "Apprenticeship Information Project" is a pilot project partnering the WA State Department of Labor and Industries - Specialty Compliance Apprenticeship Section, the WA State Labor Council, AFL-CIO and the Office of Trade & Economic Development with a grant funded by the WA State Employment Security Department - Employment & Training Division. | ![]() |
Information is provided to offenders in six targeted city and county jails located in King, Pierce & Snohomish counties about the WA State Approved Apprenticeship Training Programs with a special focus on the building trades. Barriers and skill deficits, which may prevent acceptance into apprenticeship programs, are identified. |
